celestia - okay yeah most people would only use it to refer to the ever respectable member of society princess but there's a few other things named it so don't be a homo
eeyup - your only justification for using eeyup besides quoting macintosh isn't even usable on the internet
braeburn - it's an apple but nobody cares about it because apple types aren't worth caring about

not acceptable instances:
luna - fuck off; it's a generic as hell name and basically stop being an idiot
appaloosa - how do people keep making this mistake it's appleloosa not appaloosa
twilight - no
discord - no guys i mean it's totally not a synonym for chaos or anything that would make too much sense

fucking ridiculous instances:
rainbow - are you serious
equestrian - generic term which has been used for hundred of years to refer to horse things in general; get out

understandable instances:
applejack: okay it is a drink but honestly i dont think anyone calls them "applejacks" anymore guys, so i can see why losers do this

awkward spanish instance:
sombra: im pretty sure this means 'shadow' in spanish so to the spanish it's a fairly run-of-the-mill word but in english you'd only ever use it to refer to the fim antagonist so... i dunno.
