datamining is almost their entire source of revenue whereas microsoft has several golden gooses and doesnt have to resort to that

theres a strong possibility that the kinect thing is tightly integrated into the phone

it's like if you removed explorer.exe from windows, yeah it would 'kinda' work but not really

most of the time you cant just remove shit from a thing like that

google doesn't even have the programmers to tie the camera into that version of the operating system why do you think they had to chump a bunch of open source fags into coding an os for them, same reason apple did, because they can't/don't have the resources to do it themselves

i know that stock devices that run android will just throw up an error if there's no camera (be it the driver fails or the sensor itself does)

but on something like this where the camera plays a heavy role i doubt it would even be usable if you were to remove that sensor
