I'm playing through cod4 again

Right away I noticed something that is lost in the newer generations of the same damn thing: narrative. Even though Call of duty has never and probably will never have a great narrative, stuff like how you actually watch the president get executed and how the setpieces don't come out and kick you in the nuts with plot (e.g. shepherd in mw2) are nice.

i wanna see the half-life 2/cod universes collide

the "war" before everything went to shit wasn't just 7 hours, but way longer

i kinda wanna see the combine invasion through the eyes of the US military and not just rebels or whatever

Haven't played through it yet, and I really want to

world military would kick the combine's ass

the strongest combine enemies you encounter in the game can be killed with $12 soviet rebel rpgs and their guns cant do shit to armor made for hazardous environments

also their ships are slow as balls and fire bullets whats a gunship gonna do about a rocket going mach 4

yeah but they have an army so large that it only stops FLOWING FROM EVERY OPEN SPACE WHEN IT IS NECESSARY TO PROGRESS THE PLOT
