of the 20 or 30 students like 6 have a D or an F; at the beginning of Q2 like 10 did
in my science class like half the people have a D or an F

this is the eighth grade and it's a school of national character too

lel in 8th grade i did good in both math and science, looks like some people are too busy socializing to give a le fuk about skool or think they can make a living playing vidjagames

i used to hang out with this kid who thought becoming a video game tester was extremely viable

we dont hang out as much

video game testing is actually fucking mind numbing i hear. it'll make you hate video games

how does doing the same thing over and over for hours and manually logging down anything that seems wrong sound, in detailed notes? its not playing games its just repetitive actions over and over

that sounds like insanity

i'd only take a job like that if i absolutely had to

the worst ones are the ones that hire you to be a 'video game tester'

after all if a game is easy to debug why not just get the developers to do it for free?

yep even the sub-10-100kb programs i make are fucking nightmares to find error sources in sometimes and that's without graphics

i can't imagine how horrible it was to debug a 6+-hour-long game like half life 2
