actually the part where she was tested and rehabilitated in the hospital is pretty nice to read

all they'd do is have one-on-one talking sessions with her, go for walks, etc. its not like they were injecting mercury into her veins

She was reportedly living in a small private facility for mentally underdeveloped adults, and appeared to be happy. Although she only spoke a few words, she could still communicate fairly well in sign language.[3] In 2003, Genie's mother died of natural causes at the age of 87.[8] As of 2008, despite badly missing Genie and repeatedly attempting to find her, Susan Curtiss had still not seen Genie since January 1978.[3] That same year, Genie's brother said he had not seen Genie since 1982 and said he wished he had been more involved in her life. He had refused to watch or read any accounts of Genie's case and had only recently heard any updates on her, though he was glad she had gotten so much attention, and said he was happy to hear that she was reportedly doing well where she was living.[8][9]

my school had a thing where a bunch of kids got to go to washington DC i didn't get to go but a couple of my friends did and they said they went to a crime museum and they had one of john wayne gacy's clown suits or something in there and i think thats where he got the book about john wayne gacy's lawyer
