it's a good look on the old days of the 'net especially since it was written during them so there's no nostalgia bias or any other bullshit

books from the 50s/60s/70s about technology are soo interesting

they talk about technology on an 'objective' or theoretical basis because they were so young and basic at the time

there was no internet
there was no GUIs
there was no stupid hipster progressive programming languages like python, everyone used FORTRAN (or lisp if you weren't an IBM employee in a sharp suit)

if you didnt have at least a PhD in mathematics and physics and didn't spend all your time doing heavy research at universities you were likely not going to get far into the realm of computer science
