i decided to give debian wheezy a second chance
so first it took about a minute to boot (compared to my usual 10-15 seconds on squeeze), then i got kicked into SLiM with a DARK N MINIMAL arch linux ricer theme, then i try to load and i wait five mother fucking minutes to load before shitty GNOME 3 FUCKING FINALLY opens up and then xorg entirely crashes and forces a reboot, then i load it up again and try to boot into openbox this time and all of my fucking config files were emptied but thankfully i had some backups but debian wheezy is so fucking shitty that with my new configs loaded i was using roughly 200-300 MBs of memory to sit idle on startup (compared to my 70-90 before), i wanted to purge some stuff but RXVT got completely fucked and as a result all the ncurses shit i use (wicd-curses, aptitude et cetera) were totally unusable and lets not even get started on how it obliterated my wireless drivers and made them unloadable, i tried every way i could to compile them but lol no somehow wheezy fucked up GNU make too
oh and it uses ubuntu software center now instead of synaptic package manager think about that for a second
then i tried to shut it off and it couldn't even do that right because it just sat there for like 20 minutes on a black screen before i was forced to do a hard shutoff so i could use an actually good OS
this is the "stable" version too
