Now, I hate to show up for RT, but he's kind of right.
The Text Based adventure game genre has existed since computer games were invented pretty much, they can be viewed as the precursor to the point-and-click genre.
Later ones featured graphics that were supposed to help you understand things better.
They typically looked like this :

on the other hand, ROOM may have been saying that RT's writing was similar to homestuck, which i still disagree with him on because at least i could understand what he was writing and where he was going with it.
