weird surreal experience of the day

these guys in front of me were watching a nike advertisement thing based around the life of a European soccer player in first person
it followed the guy through training up to the big game and signing autographs and getting girls and game after game after game with training in between and getting a better car and everyone giving the guy praise and all the attention and the intense on-field moments and when it ended all I wanted to do is never lead that life

the guy went form training to game to training to game to training to game and going and going and going not stopping oh my god please no theres no room to breathe it looked hellish for me

I was in science class and these guys in front of me were watching a video on a laptop. The video was a longass ad by Nike about a soccer player in Europe who was getting more famous as the video went along. The entire video was made in first person too, as if you were the soccer player.

It was super intense and focused on training, then a big game, then more training, another big game, more training, getting a fancy new car, getting girls, more training, more games, and it kept going and going and going

The guys cut the video off before its end and I had been mesmerized by it. When I snapped out of the trance I had been in while watching, I was very uncomfortable. That is not a life I ever want to live. It looked so focused on one thing and one thing only that there was nothing else about it, which was the point but it just looked horrible to me. Fuck I can't really explain it, it just looked horrible.

It looked empty.

The explanation is that you're not a man who could never handle living like one.
