- YARAA -- A brief overview.
BEGINNINGS
In 1592, on the 8th of December, there sprang up on a tiny river called the Zietanauu a small nation by the name of Yaraa (Yara to the natives). Historical descendants of a band of Kryfona called the Ciyjepri (or Cjepri) of Kryfona unification fame, the Yaraans settled the area and for about fifteen years lived out a quiet life. In the process their tiny nation grew to one that at the time rivaled the Kryfona Kingdom in size -- although the Kryfona didn't find them until later on. The small band was lead by a charismatic Yaraan named Kizuus Alethazan, who prided himself on the hard work he'd undertaken to make Yaraa better.
Kizuus left his nation behind quickly, though. He was already 45 when he'd undertaken leading his peoples, and he died in 1607 at the age of 60 in Pryaza, which was then the capital. Kizuus Simarazan took his place -- Simarazan being his son. Kizuus II was barely a quarter of who his father was though, and he lead the Yaraans almost the brink of destruction more than once. In 1611 the Yaraan population grew tired of his reign, and spontaneously they rose up against him. In the process however, they managed to cause utter chaos across the whole of Yaraa, leading to many groups fleeing to other parts of the Yaraan territories, leaving the territories out right, or in specific cases taking a stand. Naturally, those who took a stand became enemies, and a civil war of utter insanity proceeded to take hold.
Calling it a civil war though would imply there was order to it. In reality, there were at least twelve different groups vying for power over the course of the years 1611, 1612 and 1613. For those three years, not one side could seem to win a decisive victory. In 1614 however, the Yaran Krzuusi managed to swamp the groups surrounding them and by July they'd emerged as clear victors of the civil war by taking Pryaza. They promptly instituted menial and manual labor for all their opposition, and it became evident very quickly that they had little interest in keeping the Yaraan state together. They managed to suppress the anger for three years, but in 1617 the animosities spilled over and another civil war ensued. The result was more or less the same, with one key difference. Yaraa, as opposed to simply splitting down the middle between factions, completely exploded into a vast array of states which all claimed to be Yaraa. By 1618 there were close to forty, and Yaraa became the Yaraan Federation.
YARAA AS A FEDERATION
From 1618 to 1703, Yaraa wasn't a single state -- instead being about sixty different nations claiming to be them. The more notable ones in the bunch were Yaraa itself, Talyauus, which was to its west, Imaloos, which was in the far east of the Federation, and Vitrooz, which was surrounded on all sides by enemies of all kinds.
In 1619, the states of Yaraa, Talyauus, and the small states of Luune and Pilzteka formed the "Quadruple Powers." The odd coalition of states collected Luune and Pilzteka, despite being small, mostly on the grounds that they controlled close to half of the Yaraan industrial capacity and army. The move inspired several other strange alliances which sprung up shortly after, and which often times found themselves tested. Hjtanuuwoz's Confederacy and the Old Yaraan Alliance's conflict in particular stood out amongst the sea of going-ons in Yaraa. Hjtanuuwoz had taken up alliances with ten other states, while Old Yaraa consisted of the three old Yaraan regions of Pryaza, Nymh-Pryaza and Kizuuslowti. In 1629, the two alliances went to war, and in days the thing was over. Hjtanuuwoz was annihilated and picked apart after its alliance fell apart and the numerous states around it invaded. Such chaos was just another part of Yaraa, and it went on for a long time. In 1631, however, there came the idea of the Yaraan Confederation.

SABAADY (SAH-buh-dee)
Sabaadies believe in tighter government control -- they control 27% of the Arieles' Jirta Pirlaamitan.
LINYHA (LIHN-yhaa)
Linyhas believe in less government and less government control -- they control 27% in the Pirlaamitan.
ZEBRYAA (ZEH-burh-yuh)
Zebrya believe that religion should dictate and decide government practices -- they control 16.7% of the Pirlaamitan
OESKATIYA (OEH-skah-tee-ah)
Oeskatiyans believe in more freedom for the common Arieles -- they hold majority with 29.3% of the Pirlaamitan.
- Kryfona Politics:
- In Kryfona Monarchy, there are usually six separate groups.
MONARCHISTS
The Monarchists (or Royalists to their detractors) support the king/queen and the monarchy, and are completely opposed to the idea of disbanding the monarchy in favor of a republic or other such government.
LOYALISTS
The Loyalists only support the king and their successor, and not the monarchy itself. They are usually opposed to the idea of disbanding monarchy, but there are exceptions.
SECESSIONISTS
The Secessionists are two succinct groups that form a greater group in Kryfona Politics. Consisting of Yaraan secessionists and Tuszkean secessionists, they are in favor of freeing either of them, depending on which group they belong to.
OUTSIDERS
The outsiders are typically from other nations and they vary in what they support, and who. They are grouped separately from the others because of how numerous and vocal they are.
EXTREMISTS
The extremists are basically what they claim to be. They often support the Loyalist and Monarchist groups, but occasionally they are Secessionist.
ARYELES
Aryeles are supporters of switching to the Arieles system of government. Despite being rather disliked by most of the other groups, they are fairly numerous and vocal about their beliefs.
