does anyone know of a version of skype that isnt a bloated piece of shit

ever since i recently restarted my computer skype has been taking five minutes to do everything and it refuses to log in

five minutes to start
five minutes to load login screen gui
five minutes to process the fact that i clicked on the password dialogue box
five minutes to start logging in
ten minutes of freezing up trying to connect
and then it fails to connect


truly revolutionary technology

ive reinstalled the shitting thing twice and even went to the extent of fully defragging my computer overnight then trying again

run virus scans and make sure there isn't any dumb shit in your system startup that is hogging a load of resources

press win + r type in 'msconfig' and hit enter go to 'services' and hit 'hide all Microsoft services' and remove the dumb shit and same with 'startup' (pro tip you need nothing in there 99.9999999999999% of the time)

none of that helped at all

also it should be noted that chrome has not been logging my history and says that it previously crashed every time i boot it up now

It's pretty useful for this kind of thing, and for accessing cool stuff from other computers when you want to.

I backed up the setup.exe files for all my antivirus stuff and fake subscription codes for them in text documents.
