At it's worst, I had (literally) barricaded my bedroom door with desks and stuff, and had piles of compressed garbage building up behind my computer area. When I finally dug apart the garbage, there were like two or three destroyed keyboards in various layers of it.

I had glasses of water in my room, for hydration, but they went moldy.

I would only go downstairs to get food when the house was empty, or when everyone was in bed.

They tried to break my door down, but the barricade held, and so they relented and waited for me to come out on my own.

Just kidding, they called a social service on me, and had people from a crisis hotline come to the house. I came down, and told them that food in the fridge was numbered at night, so that people could see if I was "stealing food" at night. I told them that people went through the green bins to see how much food I had eaten off of my chicken wings, and when it was found to be wanting, I was informed that I wasn't doing a good enough job eating meat.

PM me all you'd like, I have been at a shit place for a big chunk of my middle-class life, but have slowly come to live by myself, feeding off of government funds.
