I'll have you know, i used to like most shonen anime,until i realized that the problem is when they suffer from what i like to call "saga syndrome"

When the heroes Either A) return to new place B) Get back From New place or C) something similar they find a new enemy beginning to emerge. They take down enemies henchmen and something happens to MC that causes the rest of the team to be setback by losing him. Main characters friends attempt to fight bad guy they heard about and everyone gets beat. Main character either recovers from the issue or his friends help him then he tries to fight bad guy and again gets defeated until A) he unleashes a powerful new attack B) he gets a powerful new transformation or C) a new character for the lead characters crew joins and helps take bad guy down. Main character saves the day and either leaves or goes back to chilling, awaiting the next adventure.
