OTTD: Rules, Regulations, Tools, Terminologies

rules-

2. no porn - no exceptions


regulations-

if you are going to post something, anything, make sure there is not a thread for it before making a new thread
eg. if there's a quality roblox content thread, you put quality roblox content into that thread instead of making another one
no huge avatars
no (too) huge signatures (use a spoiler if necessary)
you can refer to people by their usual screen name instead of their current one (eg. i am currently steven and you should just call me lcke)


tools-

most thunderdomers use skype, so get a skype and use it
unless you're oaky and insist on using shitty irc
some cool kids use puush, you should too
however it is recommended to use imgur for embedding purposes, as puushes will be deleted after a while of not being viewed


terminologies- (read: degradations)

fuknigga - a word which can be used in any context as a noun, originally founded by oaky (iirc)
"he spams like a fuknigga"

rot - refers to "roblox off topic", the thing that we used to do things on and now do things on much less frequently

otx - refers to any in the series of off topic spinoff forums, such as this one, or the communities of such

totl, totell, totelle - refers to "TOTL", the off topic lounge, one of the older otx incarnations

pointless as totl - a derogatory phrase to express how needless or non-important something is, esp. in relation to totl, a forum without much activity or content

dongman, dongmannu, dongmane- refers to dogman328, the owner of totl, who is discriminated by much of otx for being a big dork and/or pretentious nerd

shitpost - pointless or spam post or posts, can be used as a verb

yes, i was gonna mention that most of this stuff is also on the wiki as well

i still don't understand how so many people have trouble following one simple rule

i concede that the idea of tumblr nerds coming to the dome to be crushed and removed from this plane of existence is satisfying to me but at the same time we'd get daily traffic and spam in our threads of 'but thats cissexist scumbag kil urself' and just verbal feces everywhere on the forum
after like a month maybe they'd go away for the most part but i still don't think it's the best idea
