wat is ottd using their infinite free time for this summer

TO SAY THAT THE HISTORY of OTX is a short, concise and simple one would be a falsehood. The origin of this place is simple enough. All OTx fora by definition are created by the "defectors" of the Roblox Forums. Beyond that, however, OTx is a complex mess of all things unexpected and illogical. This has been since the first day of the first spinoff, and that first forum displayed it finely. Its name was the OT Freedom Forum - OTFF in short, and it kicked off the series of forums which we know now simply as OTx.

On the 10th of July, 2011, a funny, awkward fourteenish-year-old kid by the name of Dogman328 founded the place, and spent his entire day working on it. The next day, the 11th, he opened his little "creation" to the public of Roblox, and thus began an unwieldy history that persists in its growth and complexity to this day.

The OTFF pretty much immediately caught on in the depths of the Roblox forums' Off Topic board - to the apparent lack of caring of Dogman. There was a reason for both of these. OTFF caught on because of how it broke off from Roblox OT's supposedly tyrannical moderation, a whole different story of which I won't delve in to. This idea was (and still is) the universal thought process in regards to the Roblox forums' moderation, and it is why many of the forums OTx includes exist. But that's getting ahead of our story. Dogman's reasons for not caring were fairly simple, at least on paper. While he's never exactly explained why he didn't care, it was probably a foregone conclusion that OTFF would live. This was a very long age before the fora of OTx became vilified and stigmatized by the community of Roblox's forums, and short of being a complete dictator, Dogman could have fucked up in every way possible and still retained a userbase.

In any case, OTFF went in with a bang. Right off the bat, it had something to the effect of twenty active users, just simply on the grounds of being an alternative to OT (or ROT, as we call it - Roblox Off Topic).
