and i'm managing to do things on this computer because its got DAT WINDOWS 8.1 which is super fast and some specialized software + i don't treat my computer like crap

games are almost completely out of the question though

core 2 duos were released when sata existed

this computer is a god tier workhorse with win 8 i can probably push a few more years into it easily enough if i really wanna. it's approaching its 10th birthday :D

full MS office suite, visual studio 2013, a few lightweight games and opera 12xx and it's a breeze almost never badly chokes unless i'm doing disk-intensive things because im pretty sure this has one of those really low RPMs
