[SCENE I: PONYVILLE, EARLY MORNING]
[It is early morning, the sun is rising, RT & Twilight & Fastlane are out walking]
RT: So, Twilight, what exactly did end up happening when we showed up the first time?
Twil: Well, I got a letter from Celestia the day after you guys showed up in Ponyville and it was something like "Canterlot's been destroyed - will be busy - [Twilight's voice fades, cut to Fastlane, who is quaking really badly]
Fast: Oh god, not now - not now!
[Fast stops]
Twil: [still walking with RT] And I guess I connected the dots and -
[Twilight and RT stop]
RT: Fast?
[Fast starts glowing]
Fast: NO NO NO
[Fast begins to sprout Discord-like antlers & in general takes on a Discord appearance]
RT: Oh, boy. That ain't good.
[Disclane appears]
[Fastlane's second body appears]

THE FIRST TIME:

"The first time Blueblood ever got beaten up was that day he came to Ponyville - a few days after it'd been destroyed. This is a simply amazing novel! It goes out of it's way to paint a vivid picture of My little pony, explaining concepts even to those unfamiliar with the My little pony universe. It never feels tedius or slowing down, keeping you on the edge of your seet with the balance of power between the Pony and Pony.

The bigger threat of potentially changing time is always there, with the characters trapped in the past not being neccesarily more powerful than other people. The action is phanomanal, using many different characters and action scenes to envolop you in the full blown war.

The main flaws from this book comes from trying to keep a character balance. Some characters like Oaky, Amsk8r, and even red epoch to an extent don't get nearly as much presense as they should do. It's difficult to make the characters matter when you're too busy trying to show how big and powerful the threats are against them.

Likewise Amsk8r herself doesn't really do very much. She says allot and is always talked about being powerful; Yet very rarely do we actually get to see it. Nor is it entirely clear WHAT has happened to her, if you have never read up on Pony lore before.

When all is said and done, this is a trillogy that many fantasy authors should aspire to write like. It shows a diverse world with powerful enemies, making all the characters develop naturally as the story goes on. Nothing ever feels forced or out of place, always keeping you hungry for more. This is a must read for any fan of my little pony, or fantasy in general!
