so this guy in chem class gives me his laptop so i can fix it; he says he doesn't know what's wrong with it

i pull it out and my finger gets shocked over and over - pretty sure that nice lil 12v lithium battery is shorted and its shocking me

does it look fixable?
i dont think he knew it was shorted maybe a bunch of static electricity built up in its shitty case and then somehow discharged multiple times

i took the battery out looks like his hard drive is fucked
