three starting topics

#1, why do atheists have this "YOU GUYS KNOW WHO'S STUPID? EVERYONE BESIDES US!" mentality? do they have to feel like they're better than somebody? they usually only bitch at "creationists" and "organized religion" while "organized religion" is basically fiction outside of catholicism and islam and the only people that aren't "creationist" are buddhists, confucianists and themselves for about 20% of the world population. so according to them one in five people is "not clinically retarded" and this isn't even subtracting the deists from the equation for a much smaller number (as in i'm guessing most of the 1 billion-ish seculars are deists). i think some delusion is going on here but it isn't from most of the world, not even mentioning the whole "scientific theories are scientific fact" thing

#2, does anybody actually believe this baha'i bullshit? it sounds like a stoner religion and contradicts each and every one of the religions it tries to unite. i can go on and on

#3, is catholicism really christianity? i feel like they're seperate because catholicism has so much added doctrine and rules and even outright contradicts its source in certain areas. i'd say it is to christianity as islam is to judaism

Roman Catholicism is Christianity proper. The Pope is Catholic.

Protestantism exists solely because the British monarchy was unbelievably far up their own asses. Instead of the Pope being head of the Church the British Monarch is the head of the Church so the UK and the commonwealth, which includes Canada, are technically a theocracy.

The Eastern Orthodox Church is basically just Eastern Catholicism as far as my understanding goes.

cath is a really interesting religion but the problem for me is that it's too incorporated. it feels like a nazi government sometimes because they encourage people becoming like below

that depends on what your definition of christian is

imo they have to be in line with what jesus taught and tbh none of them really are, not even the nondenominational movement(s)

we need a reformation movement that basically takes nondenomiationalism and adds all those judaism elements that were extracted for some reason like all the holidays and all that

yes, it does. catholicism stopped being about christ and more about the ianity somewhere down the line so the protestants jumped ship and became christian again. it's not that complicated
