whats the point of using this instead of just a virtual machine

faster smaller than some vms (but still fucking huge compared to a live disk in a vm) more likely to work on older hardware and integrated into windows better

VMs tend to run really smooth even with KDE4 and all that, it's by design. meanwhile even the cygwin terminal is infernally slow it reminds me of lolol powershell. i got an X server running and played with openbox and even that lagged.

also it's not really 'integrated into windows' that would be something like colinux

then there is no reason to use it

you can run gcc with it though so get rid of that gay compiler you use nerd

you can install all the bare essentials on like 50 MBs of storage space

doubt it because it takes like 1 minute to download the basic set with some extras in full on our school's slow ass network

1GB maybe if you go and install every single package, even KDE4.12 is only like 600MB disk space iirc
