it is beautiful and glorious

if it runs slow as shit on my old glorious core 2 duo with HD integrated graphics its no good for anyone

i only tested it with kubuntu though and thats the shit i harbor animosity towards

kde opensuse is my favorite though it all depends on not making it look like shit

you could have had a corrupted ISO, used to happen to me all the time

downloading a livecd image and not verifying the MD5 sum is playing russian roulette

when i get around to making a suse partition i'll try it again

how good a DE is is usually agnostic to what OS it's running on (although suse loves to patch the shit out of their stuff and make distro-specific customizations)

slackware KDE is 100% vanilla/upstream and it works fine
