you're also forgetting the bit about how quickly they go obsolete. XBOX360 has had a lifetime of over 10 years. high end computers 10 years ago ran on core 2 duos lol

also high end computers suck a ton of power. if you're paying the electricity bills you'd better believe consoles are going to look nice in comparison

Core Duos have actually become the generic minimum requirement for most games
