uARM is certainly no speed demon. It takes about 2 hours to boot to bash prompt ("init=/bin/bash" kernel command line). Then 4 more hours to boot up the entire Ubuntu ("exec init" and then login). Starting X takes a lot longer.

although to be fair ubuntu is hardly light on its toes. boot arch on that bitch and i bet you it would take ~30 minutes

also booting to bash would take a while

i wonder how long it'd take to load way lighter shells like ksh or dash.

i guarantee this isn't too far off from a beaglebone and its way more powerful than any microcontroller you can buy running an avr
