LOL that reminds me of this oldie

[11:00:23 PM PDT] appaloosa horse: OH MY GOD
[11:00:30 PM PDT] appaloosa horse: “I'd hope that someday, those novelists that sit on their thrones with a pen up their ass start to realize that works like Homestuck and Fallout: Equestria are works that could rival the best of the authors in the world.

I swear, if you get any professional reviewer to READ the stories and publish a review on them, you'll get ratings higher than all of Stephen King's books and Tom Clancy's books combined.

Probably twice that.” - Black Tribal

In Part I, I noted that for the Clueless, “The most visible sign of their capacity for self-delusion is their complete inability to generate an original thought.” Why is lack of originality a clear indicator of cluelessness?

Here is why: delusions are closed logical schemes, where reality is mangled into the service of a fixed script through defense mechanisms, with the rest of the meaning thrown away. To manufacture original thought you have to look at/listen to reality in open ways for data. That is why Michael’s database is so full of movie lines. Movies are goldmines of canned situation-reactions that don’t require much present-reality data to retrieve. When kids quote adults or movies, they seem precocious, and gain approval. In an era where more kids are raised by TV than by parents, parroting movie lines comes more naturally than repeating bromides learned from parental figures or at churches and temples.
holy shit, i was sitting flicking through some pictures and this quote came to mind and it suddenly hit me, it explains so well why imgur is so obsessed with movie quotes and 'references'

and staying on the scent of the trail, it also explains why they're so obsessed with fake tumbler stories (because tumbler stories, like movies, are closed logical schemes, thus seeing the screenshots and believing them, and consiquentially giving your upvotes, verifies your own delusions to yourself that life is like sitcoms or romantic comedies)

ancient china is interesting as shit with their huge dynasties and conquests and civil wars but ancient india's scientific/mathematical developments, ancient writings, and developing spiritualities (buddhism + hindu) are way cooler it's all really underappreciated. they don't have a lot of modern history though whereas china has the whole communist thing and 'modern dynasties' going on. plus their super-aggression with other asian states like taiwan japan south korea blabla

also worth noting british columbia has a lot of chinese and east indians. i think something like half our population is from asia
