for windoze the easiest way for you spinny will be to download an ide called codeblocks with the windows port of gcc included and then run the source code

its totally worth it for my high quality game engine and you can even start developing your own!

idk about windows but on linux gcc just werks without any mandatory preconfigurations

not on windows although some of the gcc alternatives have installers that set it all up for you (like the one included with codeblocks)
