who is good with photo editing

so i polygon lassoed some dude out of a photo, to put him on a different background, except when i paste him onto the other background some white space comes with him.

lets see the picture i might be able to do some magic

oh yeah cropping out something with that much detail is a pain in the dick

no no no. i mean i think its fine and all, but when i upload it to a site like imgur the transparent parts become white or black. i want to stop this

did you make sure to save it as a PNG? filetypes like jpg or bmp can't render transparency and just fill the alpha in with white

oh shit i dont think i did

ctrl+shift+S, or click the "save as" button

in the save image dialog there should be a pull-down menu under the filename that shows things like JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, etc. make sure it's set to png

i havent used pdn in such a long time

also imgur is a bitch about filesizes to guests and non-pro users and if they think it's too big they like to convert images to jpg so that they can compress the shit out of them

it could just be that the image is too large in terms of filesize, in that case scale it down or use another uploader

might just buy one but i never use an account on imgur so it would be a waste

i had to use the magic wand tool to delete the white spaces and change the background of the picture
