hibernate
suspend
a full shutdown
or just leave it on

hibernating saves the session and turns the computer off, suspension suspends the system to RAM (or swap space if you're on linucks) and goes into a low power mode

i turn it off because my computer runs progressively slower the longer i leave it on hibernating or not

NT doesn't clear RAM caches?

linux caches fucking everything but i think every day at ~2 AM it empties all the needless buffers

most of the time i take off my computer but if i fucked up on something but its too late for me to do it i just switch the screen off and turn it on again whenever i wanna fix it
