in this case its distance from the capitol building was enough to not warrant force

and i just fucking hate it when people are called "heroes" when they did fucking nothing
he got hit by a car. he didn't even help stop her.

they do their job and risk their lives keep you safe but that's just not enough for spinny

ok so now that i know the officers were not shooting to kill and were just laying down suppressive fire im not as mad about that. shooting to kill = bad, suppressive fire to startle = good and the correct course of action given the situation

however i still feel that the title of hero is an earned one. a newly recruited solder or police officer is not automatically a hero. he must accomplish some action which makes him a hero.
coming close to giving up your life in the line of duty is honorable and worthy of recognition
however it is not on the level of being a hero in the sense that he saved lives directly through his actions

you dont just become a secret service agent /b/rah

he was probably an urban officer before he got to where he was
