it's a command line thingy

it shows active TCP connections (eg if your being connected to another computer, server etc)

if all the programs you use that connect to the web are closed and it still shows ESTABLISHED connections you have a problem

what were they connecting to?

depending on what flags you put up you may see programs that "talk" to each other as servers, and they'll do things like connect to 0.0.0.0:0 or 127.0.0.1 (e.g, dummy IPs)
