The versions that aired in the west censored a lot of things.
For example, guns turned into people just pointing at each-other.

i think it was the original series that had most of the altered/cut shit for the west but some of them could have been tolerated but they didn't want bad western PR over those scenes at the time

(of course there's some well known exceptions, but there are not that many)
