i think it's cool how we've gone from simple webpage designs like stallman.org to big massive 2.0 pages with box shadows and shading and integrated colors like youtube and whatever, but it's also inconvenient. is there any way we could have a 'modern' look to the web without it all being fancy bullshit, and without looking like UNIX Philosophy hipster retards?

cat-v.org has a good layout that isn't overly-simple or overly-complicated, but cat-v is the definition of unix philosophy hipster retards

the issue with a lot of non-styled websites is that you either look like flashy css3 retardo shit with big gradient/silver/textured felt buttons and backgrounds or you look like a seventh grader taking web page design with that nice h2 times new roman

the remedy is 100% support on the browsers people use today for anything beyond that
