This wouldn't be a problem if systemd integrated its own version of the Linux kernel and everybody just used that.
No, wait, I'm almost sorta kinda slightly serious. It turns out that someone I know went to a European Linux conference this year (it's still "this year" -- right?) and attended a Poettering talk about systemd just so he could heckle the guy. When it became question-and-answer time, he asked Poettering when systemd was going to merge the Linux kernel.
Poettering didn't seem to realize it was a joke. That's how fucking absurd things have gotten with Poettering and the rest of the Red Hat crew these days.
