I mean, when you go on roblox, you see people posting about OTTHUNDERDOME (or InsaneZero if you swing that way). Why brag about using something that’s fucking terrible when you’ve already had the chance to join something that’s better? That’s like going out to a bar, ordering a pint, running to the men’s room, pouring the draft down the drain, and filling your glass with toilet water. So the other day I was walking down the hall at my middle school and I saw some loser noob using going on OTTD. I didn't know this kid, so I automatically assumed that he doesn't know shit about forums. As we all know, it's WRONG for people to enjoy and use forumotion, ESPECIALLY if they know how it works.

I ran up to him and just instantly started attacking him entirely based on his n00b forum choice. "U MAD THAT U SUK AMMYS DICK EVERY DAY? HOW'S MEGARBLX FAGGOT?" He responded: "Ha, Mega sucks, I changed that months ago." Everyone knows that you can't get rid of MegaRBLX no matter what you do, so I sat him down and educated him on how he was still wrong for using the same shit that took me took hours and days to get 6 users, but in 15 minutes and with no work required.

I mean, what a fucking little kid, right? He ACTUALLY knows how to run a forum, and just started running an active, non-dead forum like a complete tool. After he walked away with his friends, he probably fucked off back to his bullshit job.

I encourage all of you to do the same. STOP letting people use and enjoy OTTHUNDERDOME. It's not about replacing Roblox, it's about pretending to be fastlane. We all know we're superior for using hardc0re dead forums. Keep ROT Spinoffs as our own secret club so we can pretend that we're better, and DON'T let it be a free, general purpose forum that everyone can use.

Think about it. OTTD gets posted on night. During daylight concentration and focus of shitposters tends to be at its highest. However, seeing as OTTD is an community-open forum, people post on it for fun. Logically, they do this at night as they have money making jobs to do during the rest of the day. The obvious result is a sloppy forum. Now look at OTRevolution. It is a project, yes, but ROT funposters get paid to post on it because Kosovo is desperate to run a forum that is active.

Obviously this results in two: OTTD, and OTRev.

So you got OTTD; a stable modern forum but with undeniable problems due to the shitposters not working on it at their full potential. OTRev, on the other hand, is a sanely made forum with a state of the art MAH 5K POST architecture resulting in not only a dead and ugly forum, but also in a boring and stupid product.

I've made my choice solely on these facts and not a day comes by I regret it.

OTRevolution dumbs down the learning process for OTX, to about the equivalent of ROT. A user who is new to OTX and starts with OTRevolution may not ever shothorn a shitposting tag or even raid a forum, much less understand the capabilities of the quality posts and original content factories available to them, and the tools a their disposal (BBCode for example).

For these reasons, a lot of veteran or even new, yet determined OTThunderdome users automatically dislike OTRevolution, and it's userbase, because of the shortcuts they take to use their forum. OTX draws a large community of shitposting inclined, or at least interested people who seek to improve said skills, and understand more about quality posts, and they can see OTRevolution as counteracting this, or if you will, dumbing down their community they've worked so hard to create.

I think in the end one must accept there will always be ignorant, unwilling end-users who are not interested in the how or why, but simply want to use :afro: and blurry usergroups and silly reference usernames and Facebook. We can be thankful a forum such as otrev exists for these users, so the OTThunderdome community can thrive without such distractions.

OTR and Lib users, how does it feel to know there's an entire group of individuals who are better with forums than you are? Meet OTThunderdome users. They are better than you.

They understand the post quality better. They understand the basic principles of shitposting better. They know how raids work better than you. They understand the pros and cons of moderation (including name colors and groups) because with OTThunderdome you get to choose moderators. They probably have their priorities, too, since having a real social life that they do enjoy having vastly improves discussion under OTThunderdome (and this really pisses you off, since going to parties and having a sexual partner was one thing you always wanted but you were unable to build confidence to pursue it and just posted about wanting to fuck horses on Roblox instead.) Oh, and they probably know ROT better than you, too, since most advanced OTThunderdome users these days are ex-ROT users who managed to learn OTThunderdome years ago when it was much less "user friendly."

At this point, a confident individual would admit to himself that he has a lot to learn about OTThunderdome and computers in general, but since you lack the self esteem to do that you run back to OTR or Lib, make a braindead all-caps reference thread and keep repeating to yourself "at least I can post about fetishisms and masturbating. At least I can post about fetishisms or masturbating." You're also probably very pleased about your sizable post count... because Roblox has somehow managed to convince you that volume of posts is the most important thing to consider when going on a forum.
