HOLY FUCK HOW DO YOU PEOPLE STAND THIS SHIT

this is the most banal thing ive ever endured, im sitting here looking at that one halfassed program that lists muh hardwarez and googling desperately trying to find something fucking compatible

im soooo glad this isnt an HP, their site is horrendous

im lucky i got a lenovo because their documentation is on the level of x.org manpages for how comprehensive they are

on every linux distro ive used there's default xorg drivers packed in that are free as in freedum and dont do this shit and if i want to install a proprietary driver its as easy as a couple clicks and the odd repository addition

this is horrible

i had to do this with my HP laptop

never again

the only reason i survived is because i'd already used linux for a while and had a good idea for what the names of my hardware was so googling only took like 3 hours

HP is so fucking under-documented its a joke

their site is just a slew of 404s and stupid bullshit that doesnt answer your question

hp is probably the worst website for anything ever

404 not found sorry we stopped making generic and vague documentation for this product in 2006

they probably spent resources that could have been used to make a good and helpful site to make "bullshitgenerator.exe" which with a click of a button produces a boatload of pages full of shit that doesn't make sense and isn't relevant at all to the problem you're having
