seriously why haven't SVGs become a popular filetype again? they kick the shit out of PNGs for super flat toned images like that mongol emblem and you can make an SVG that's 500000000000000x5348973249887689234 and it'll be only like 5kb because all SVGs are are XML thingamajigs rendered into graphics

i guess because making svgs is restricted to shitware like inkscape or writing all of it from scratch in notepad/geany/gvim/gedit/microsoft word

well they're not particularly hard to write, go onto any simple looking SVG and hit ctrl+u and look at the source

the hand-written ones on wikipedia (conveniently in the 'hand written SVGs category') are really neat and tidy, only around 50 lines
