unless you're a 420gamer and actually need more than 2GB RAM, XP is capable of everything you need in an OS but without all the fancy bloat windows vista/7/8 (ie aero), and it also isn't a horrendous security risk (see: shadow copies)

businesses will never, ever run anything else until their last thinkcentre dies and they can't buy another with XP preinstalled

a fuck ton of things need more than 2GB of RAM but most of those uses are for Linux anyways

saying your OS is better because it's 64-bit has no validity either so Windows XP is pretty baller but I still prefer Windows 2000

the more recent pcs my school have had are early versions of the nexlink small form factor pcs

that were all from around 2007-2010

my entire school district upgraded fucking everything last year and now we run windows 7
