i had a computer with a dead fan for two years i kept that bitch running with the power of EXTERNAL FANS

the BIOS/MBR could be fucked which is indeed a very bad thing and you'll probably have to take it into a shop if you dont want to spend another 300 for another computer depending on which one

when you boot up you know how you see those things that say "PRESS F12 TO CHANGE BOOT ORDER" and other shit like that? try them and see if they still work

if they dont appear then just slide your fingers across the F keys and ESC during boot and see if anyting happens

your windows install could just be messed up which is a very easy fix, all you have to do in that case is INSTALL LUNIX and then optionally pirate windows from lunix and then install winblows
