So today I argued briefly with the teacher over doing or not doing an assignment and this girl walks up to me and she asks me if I've considered doing ROTC. I actually have because it's the only thing that's going to help my cookie cutter demographic and only decent grades in getting into a decent college besides Boy Scouts which I am doing. I ask her why she asked and if it was because I'm a freshman, and she says "that and... ummmmm I think it would help you ^__^;" and walks off like... Fuck I don't know like what. I'm sitting there waiting for her to finish her sentence until I realize it's a FUCKING INSULT and I'm like "UM EXCUSE ME?" after a few seconds of silence. It'd be like if an alien knocked on your front door, called you a nickname you heard once or twice six years ago, said you were a jerk and flew off because you don't even know how offended you should be or why that even happened. Fuck me.

Shitty glorified drill boot camp for teens maintained by the gubmit that gives you a PE credit and some other benefits. It's goal is to "build citizens with character" which pretty much tells you that the only people who enroll in it are douchebags, those disturbing military freaks and people who were grandfathered into it, and that's pretty accurate.
