i never understood why forums implement a no alts rule

they hardly ever catch on in my experience

i just recently made a new account for a site i use to buy things with online because i changed my primary email, and they have a no dual accounts rule but i still got my stuff  

what ive come to notice is that most sites which implement such rules try really hard to maintain their seriousness and only appeal to certain cliques and groups

unillogical (and thus, the predecessor of uni, josefvstalin forums) is one of them but the MSPA forums and totalwarcenter (and blockland, i think, i cant remember i havent been there in ages) also employ such rules

the only forums ive been on which dont employ such are the otx chains and roblox

hahahahahahahahah remember on totelle and otb when they had these long pretentious rule lists people would cite in arguments like 'UMM you just broke rule 3 you're argument is invalid'

otb actually had a no alt rule im pretty sure and nobody cared whatsoever - the only time it was employed was when it was convenient to rid the forum of someone (like me, i got banned like a bajillion times and just made alts that got banned immediately)

hell ALL the rules on OTB were only enforced when they were convenient
