So, Pokémon stream thing

So what's the deal with that Pokémon stream that people are shitting themselves over recently.
Apparently the people viewing can control what the character does by typing in the commands in the comments or whatever.

It's apparently not even a week old and I saw some shit on imgur about some guy bitching at "casuals" for wanting to implement democracy.

I also occasionally see some people boasting about voting for anarchy on imgur
