i would like to make a recommendation to astro boy: omega factor

this is seriously the best beat em up i have ever played, the visual style is bright and sparkly and the music is super sick (especially good for the gba sound chip)

i would look up a snotty child commentary video from youtube to compliment this post, but i refuse to

you simply have to play it for yourself and see how incredible(y underrated) it is

pretty much all of the respected beat em up companies chipped in on this one

it has a strange effect where everything on the screen lags when there's lots of effects or enemies visible, which was probably programmed in because the gba's processer might not have been good enough or something

i say it seems programmed in because even on a good pc in an emulator it still has this lag effect. its actually kind of cool really because it seems to make everything move in slow motion

yes and? emulators emulate the hardware of whatever system you're using, in this case the GBA. something will be laggy on an emulator just as much as it will be on a gba

i'm pretty sure like 99% of game systems use CPU architectures that aren't x86 (which is what you're probably using) so no but i have no experience on the subject either

moving past hardware issues, someone here should definitely play omega factor when they have the time to


ive recommended it so many times and people dont even care to play it whines about nobody liking their le astro boy gayms
