nobody can reasonably argue that the wii u wasn't a financial failure but it is definitely adept as a console

Wii U has good games it's just that they are game genres the general public lost interest in in the early 2000's. That, and I think people still don't think of nintendo with the same respect they did throughout the 80's and 90's and they now see them as a "kiddie" company which is sad.

Nintendo needs to introduce something that will really blow the general gaming public goes "wow" for, like they did with twilight princess and melee. If Nintendo can either : 1, Get a new groundbreaking IP out OR , 2, do something with an old IP that is unlike anything people have seen from that IP before

there's actually a reason why it's on the 3ds

believe it or not miyamoto actually wanted the first game to be in 3d for the gamecube

but with it being the gamecube it didn't really have that much power to do that kind of stuff nor were there tvs that could do this stuff either

he was looking forward into doing this for some later project at the time and then the 3ds came to be and the sequel was placed onto it with all of the right technology he wanted from the first game

well it actually wouldn't be that way

the only 3D the gamecube was intended to be capable of outputting was stereoscopic, much like the 3DS
