surf or hydro pump?

From what i used to play of porkymanz i remember surf being more useful in more situations

so surfin' all the way

though hydro pump has like a 50 or so point advantage over Surf, and if you include STAB it's 80 i think. you can also tie in rain if you're one of those fancy-ass weather users

Surf is ~135 with STAB, hydro pump is ~215. under rain w/ STAB surf is 270, hydro pump is 430. thats pretty fucking vicious, almost as powerful as explosion (defence cut not included, of course)

surf's advantages are pretty obvious on paper when you don't include inevitable multiplier stacking into the equation but when you consider those factors the slant re-adjusts its self and then everyone starts fighting

i use surf because i don't do 'competitive battles' when i play pokeyman i just play the games if i even do

oh, it's 110 in B/W and 120 in I-IV. im speaking in IV context here because ive never played B/W seriously

so 180 with STAB and 360 with raindance tied in. thats still pretty heavy

i havent played pokemon for like 4 months, but if i remember correctly surf damages teammates, right?

conquest is so fucking boring and hard so i just activated all the preset r4 cheat codes and beat it in 5 minutes

ohh ya thats another thing, it can hit teammates if you're playing on doubles or triples

i always screw up at the start of pokemon games because i always train my starter to their second evolution before fighting the first gym leader and cant catch any other pokemon

aha i used to do that

just catching a pokemon from the start and siphoning off some EXP into it so that you can dump it off a little later once you have more stable footing in the game will do you a world of good. i always have level 15/20 rodents sitting in the front of BOX 1

using your starter is for CASUALS

doesn't surf hit everyone even double battles? if so just use a combo off a water type with surf and someone with ability of hover

i dont think hover protects you from surf damage, it does for earthquake
