the windows store BLOWS its like the ios store its just shitty game after shitty game

i'd like it if i could get some useful utilities off of it that aren't provided from the default install but nooope its just gay video games

im gonna buy a macbook pro now

it's fast as fuck in some aspects (specially the metro view), in others things are pretty much the same as they would be in windows 7

no aero memory hogging which is a godsend

there's a lot of 7 features you still might need, system locale is one i ran into, and you can defenitely change them but they might be hidden away deep in your computer

like the control panel, i was dicking around in metro for like fifteen minutes trying to change my system language cuz i assumed they got rid of the control panel, but it's still there you just gotta look for it

so some things are kinda messy and make no sense, but you get used to all of it after a while

metro interface is fun to customize but it doesn't go too far if you don't have many applications installed, and also if your application doesn't have a "tile" icon off the default install it'll look ugly as sin on the page, like this;

the windows store is fucking useless and doesn't have anything you'd ever want

the installation just werks although i got into a bit of a snatch where it wanted me to log onto an outlook account to have my dataz backed up on the cloud, but i did not want to back up my dayta on the cloud; also i dont have an outlook

they had an option to make an account on your computer without signing into outlook hidden very subtle-y on the bottom of the screen though, but they almost got me to make a fucking outlook to have my dayta backed up on the cloud

basically, good os, you'll have pretty much the same experience with it as you would with 7 only with some metro spiced onto it and you might be a little confused with finding things at first
