you'd go to trade school to get certifications for things you don't necessarily need college degrees for (A+, Network+, and CCNA are offered at a 2-year trade school for adults)

other than that, if you want to be a lawyer, politician, doctor or researcher, college isn't the first thing to consider in my opinion

im going for genetics/microbiology, so its 8 more years for me i guess
