Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune’s Kickstarter project Mighty No. 9 has crossed its $2.2m stretch goal. This means the game is now headed to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
Digital versions of the game will be released on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Backers will now have the option to choose any of these instead of the PC version.
“Now we can bring this game to the audience that made the genre what it is in the first place: console gamers!” reads an update on the game’s Kickstarter page.
If the project reaches $3.3m in the next two weeks the team will also be able to fund versions for both PS4 and Xbox One.
Mighty No. 9 is being developed for PC and reached its initial $900,000 goal in less than 48 hours. Mac and Linux versions are also being developed.

Inafune announced Mighty No. 9 at PAX in August. Mighty No. 9 promises “classic Japanese side-scrolling action” and, according to the project page, takes the “best aspects of the 8- and 16-bit era classics you know and love, and transforms them with modern tech, fresh mechanics, and fan input into something fresh.”

it's a mega man clone developed by some members of the team that developed mega man and a few other former employees of other companies

namely inafune the main man behind the mega man franchise

the whole reason is due to capcom dropping shit on inafune and now he's gone out of his way to make a spiritual successor

now capcom's kinda drowning with how little money left in their bank and personally i don't think they deserve it even if their looked at as "da ea of japan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
