dumb mistakes you've made with technology

i've used linux for somewhere in the realm of one year or so and only figured out what bash completion was about 2 weeks ago

and man has life ever improved since then

i used visual basic for a year

i didn't get into arduinos until the beginning of this year so i spent all of my prior programming working with gay c#

i spent money on high end computer parts to make da cgi faster

i had a folder called "usr" once (i had extracted some precompiled package cuz i needed a specific file) and i was meaning to delete it by hitting in "rm -rf ./usr" but i missed the . and hit "rm -rf /usr" and had to do a complete reinstall cuz after that my os was deader than fried chicken

i was fucking pissed

i normally just do "rm -r" but i had to put in the force flag because every file gave me some stupid ass warning about "dis file is writeprotected are you sure you want to delete it" suck a dick

windows permission loves to fuck up catastrophically so you can't delete anything even as an administrator in command line so you need to do a bunch of steps to own the file and then change the permission

sometimes it just goes and fucks up and you have folders stuck on your drive that you can't remove without going through a terminal before you boot in dos or linkiks
