i think mechanical keyboards got popular because every manufacturer decided to include the softest, smallest rectangular plastic keys with their computers

like apple keys are fucking terrible it's like tapping your fingers on a squishy piece of metal

oh fuck those keyboards, i had to put up with one before and i was making more spelling errors than i did when i first tried using dvorak, they're more about looking SLEEK and MODERN than actual comfort

the thing about mech keyboards is they cost 4 or 5 times the price of a regular rubber dome keyboard but only cost a little more to manufacture

now whats a thing to shamelessly promote and make cool?

gel pad might work

i tried it on my mousepad and it was only slightly more pleasant

also it would probably be super inaccurate, touch interfaces are as unreliable as it gets
