a lot of people spout bullshit about B-BUT STEAM FOR LINUX ITS GOOD GUISE But thats a load of FUCKING SHIT linux has the worst hardware acceleration EVER

playing any kind of game with the default XORG free drivers is like trying to play half life 2 on an IBM PC XT and the proprietary drivers are an incredible BITCH to install unless you're using bloatbuntu but in that case it'll still play at 0.0000000000000001 fps because it has a fucking billion daemons running at startup that send it into a grinding halt

and the proprietary drivers are constantly underdeveloped and underpowered in the first place

unity all things considered is like roblox

the community makes some reaaal shit games but the engine itself isn't really that bad for people to use to learn stuff

in terms of kiddos i think it would be the next logical step up from roblox to learn unity
