Well, my innocence is now shot and my mind can't fully comprehend all this lovey dovey crap. Totally not into it, yet I can't stop reading through the chapters of this one piece.
On the other hand my social life at school has been improving tremendously. I mean, I get around fine on my own, but now that my mind is on the fritz to get the clop out of my head, its been doing so much as making easy conversation with anyone to distract me from it.
What the crap, the freaking clop fiction is improving my social life, and yet I'm being tormented by nightmares of it. Make the clop dreams go away!

Recently, I watched the first and second episodes of My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic.
May I first start off by saying that I am not one of "those people." Many people watch MLP as a joke. Many watch it to make a joke out of it or themselves. It's quite the laugh.
When I watched it, the first thing that stood out to me was the meaning behind the show. The meaning is what allowed me to overlook the childish theme of the show, spike's annoying high pitched voice, and Pinkie Pie's sudden outbursts of singing. I would like to share this revelation with the OT forums.
1) The show brings out many Christian values, or even moral values, that I strongly believe one should follow; The six elements of harmony.
Honesty
Kindness
Laughter
Generosity
Loyalty
Magic
Let's break that down bit by bit.
Honesty is a big theme in the bible. There's hundreds of verses that talk about the importance of being honest. Here's a few;
Proverbs 12:22 - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.
Exodus 20:16 - You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Proverbs 11:3 - Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people.
And there's plenty others. Just google "The bible on honesty" if you feel inclined.
Kindness is, of course, also a big theme. Here's some verses.
Ephesians 4:32 - Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Proverbs 11:17 - A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.
John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Laughter isn't such a huge theme in the bible. But it certainly talks being happy, and being positive. And really, why shouldn't we be this way? My God has promised me an eternal life of joy. What more can I ask for?
Psalm 126:2 - Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
Psalm 2:4 - He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
Psalm 32:11 - Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
Habakkuk 3:18 - Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
Generosity in the bible is all about being Christ-like and holy. For Earthly possessions are nothing in the scale of the world.
Proverbs 11:24 - One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.
Luke 6:38 - Give, and it will be given to you.
2 Corinthians 9:7 - Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Loyalty is important to God. Being loyal, and sticking to everyone in your life through better and through worse is important. And we must be Loyal to God, and stay with him, or face eternal suffering.
Proverbs 21:21 - Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor
Psalm 78:8 - Loyalty is in your heart. It is willing and not reluctant.
Psalm 84:10 Loyalty to the Lord will be rewarded.
Magic, however, is a different subject. The bible talks explicitly on the NEGATIVITY of "magic" and "witchcraft" God is the superior power, and nothing will ever overcome Him. We must not worship false idols (Exodus 20:3)
Yet, perhaps Twilight Sparkles' magic can represent not magic, but the force one has when through God. In Isaiah 43:13, God reports: ""I am God now and forever. No one can snatch you from me or stand in my way." So perhaps the Magic element of harmony is really the strength and power that we have through Christ.
"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:13
2) The show has a general "feel-good" attitude that shows strongly in it. In today's day and age, we're too accustomed to inappropriate content. Violence, negativity, among other things, have become the "social norm" and it can become a huge fight to stay pure and holy. This show encourages the good. Satan dwells on the minds evil thoughts. When you think negatively, Satan latches onto your thoughts like a leech. He encourages you to act upon them. The positivity of the show, and the meaning behind it is one of the few things I can watch now-a-day smiling. Perhaps some of this is due to the show's childish reach though.
One of my favorite verses in the bible goes as follows;
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Philippians 4:8
3) The plot at the beginning of the show, where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna (Twilight Moon) are raising the sun and the moon upon the nation, Princess Luna gets envious, and turns bad. Princess Celestia then traps her in the moon, and takes control of both the sun and the moon. Princess Luna, Princess Celestias' younger sister, is portrayed as something less than Celestia. This reminds me of God and Satan.
Satan used to be an Angel, one of Gods most beautiful creations. Something close to, but still something less than god. Satan turned envious of God's power, and went evil. Being subject to the depths of eternal suffering. Just like Luna, Satan tries to trap everyone in eternal suffering - or, eternal darkness in Luna's case. Ultimately, the 6 elements of Harmony - which hold strong Christian values - defeat evil in the end. Just like we can defeat Satan's pulls and temptations and end up in eternal joy.
